Classic, nostalgic and timeless, but without being overly familiar, dated or derivative. The song has a deceptively breezy vibe that complements and contrasts the lyrics superbly. The solid folk-rock vibe reminds me of everyone from Gerry Rafferty to Tom Petty to The Kinks, the dusky vocals and deadpan delivery go perfectly with the dark-humoured refrain, and the slide guitar is a great touch that really expands the sonic canvas without being gimmicky. All in all, a great track. I added this to my Tinnitist Top 150 playlist on Spotify”
