"I Married My Truck" is a comedy song with a real heart beating under the hood. The narrator isn't joking — not entirely. His '83 never asked where he'd been, never drove out when things got hard, and never once complained about the fishing trips. When somebody tries to steal her in the middle of the night, he comes around that corner seeing red. That's not a punch line. That's devotion.
